This chain maille is made of gunmetal finished, round, butted rings. Gunmetal the rings' surface helps protecting the material from corrosion (rust). We call this type of chain mail Butted Mild Steel gunmetal
Meticulously handmade by our skilled artisans, this chainmail hauberk shirt will make sure to provide robust protection on the battlefield.
Wear it under your surcoat and pair it with a belt which will allow a better weight distribution and will make the wearing of your hauberk more effortless! It is intricately handmade from butted 16 gauge mild steel rings, each with a diameter of approx. 10 mm. It is this feature of being butted that makes it affordable and hence, popular in LARP, Renaissance fair and other medieval events.

No shiny reflections in battle - the matte finish keeps you hidden in the shadows.
